About the PTO

The Hoover-Wood Elementary Parent-Teacher Organization is a registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization established to
  • promote the education of children and youth in home, school and community.
  • advocate laws, regulations and public policies for the education, care and protection of children and youth.
  • bring into closer relation the home and school, that parents and teachers may cooperate in the education of the child.
  • initiate and execute projects which will enhance the learning experience, the learning environment, school spirit, and the moral of all.
The PTO is non-commercial, non-sectarian, and non-partisan. All parents and legal guardians of children and members of the faculty and other staff of the Hoover-Wood Elementary School are automatically members of the PTO.
